Another Tough Weekend for Evan

9-25-06 Evan had transmission problems both Saturday and Sunday in Rounds 13 & 14 at Chula Vista, California. On Saturday Evan started in 12th and worked his way up to 9th by the second lap. He was able to hold onto 8th place for a few laps, moving up to 7th, when he hit a berm and went back to 13th place. His transmission didn’t hold up much longer and he had to pull off the track.

Looking forward to a much better race on Sunday, Evan again lost his transmission. The start of the race was a dusty one, and on the first turn, the truck in front of Evan suddenly slowed and Evan plowed into the back of it, resulting in a flat tire. He pulled into the hot pits to have his flat changed, only to pull off again with transmission problems. A fire resulted and Evan had to be pulled from his truck. Thanks Chula Vista track crew!

Evan will return to his shop in Riverside and begin preparing for the last weekend of CORR racing, October 21 - 22 again at Chula Vista, CA.
